LUTGERDINA PANTJES 1908 - 2005 On Sunday, March 20, 2005, the Lord took unto Himself our beloved Tante Ina. She was predeceased by her husband and two sons in the Netherlands. She came to Canada in late 1960 to help Mr. K. DeWit and his boys, Fred and Martin. She returned to Holland for a brief time, but Canada had captured her adventurous spirit. She decided to immigrate, and did so in 1969. She spent some time in Ontario but came back to Carman where her first Canadian roots were. She was always willing to help others and was able to do so having been blessed with good health and an abundance of energy. As she aged and needed some help herself we were blessed to have been able to return some of the care she had shown to others. She will be fondly remembered by her Canadian family, Fred and Celia DeWit and their children, Valerie and Harold Slaa, Maureen and Ryan Veldman, Marjorie and David VanDeVelde, Vern and Hanneke DeWit, Janice DeWit, Sandra and Jeremy Vandenbos, Rodney DeWit, Dale DeWit and Audi Linde. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carman Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Program, Box 610, Carman, MB R0G 0J0. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Canadian Reformed Church in Carman. Doyle's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. www.doyleschapels.com.
